We are pleased to announce that the Fuchs Gruppe now has validated near-term and net zero science-based targets for Scope 1 and 2 and 3. Together with the rest of the group, at Bart Ingredients we are working on a decarbonisation roadmap focusing on Scope 1 and 2, and the hotspots of raw materials, packaging and logistics for Scope 3.
Our targets:
Overall Net-Zero Target:
• Fuchs Gruppe commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.
Near-Term Targets:
• Energy and Industry: Fuchs Gruppe commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42.0% by 2030 from a 2023 base year.
• Fuchs Gruppe also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 25.0% within the same timeframe.
• FLAG: Fuchs Gruppe commits to reduce absolute scope 3 FLAG GHG emissions 30.3% by 2030 from a 2023 base year.*
Long-Term Targets:
• Energy and Industry: Fuchs Gruppe commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90.0% by 2050 from a 2023 base year.
• Fuchs Gruppe also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90.0% within the same timeframe.
• FLAG: Fuchs Gruppe commits to reduce absolute scope 3 FLAG GHG emissions 72.0% by 2050 from a 2023 base year.*
*The target includes FLAG emissions and removals.
